Transcript excerpt

Zara Larsson's rebrand is quite literally a masterclass in marketing. Up until this past summer, most people had no idea who she was. And out of nowhere in August, her song from 2017 starts going viral on TikTok with the symphony dolphin trend. And rather than just riding the virality and letting it die, she really starts to embrace this Y two ks coded brand. She fully locks in. She's got the dolphins on stage while she's performing. She's dressing in these colors, doing her makeup like this. She even partnered with Lisa Frank to promote her album Midnight Sun. People could now dress up like this for Halloween and we'd be like, oh, Zara. The talent was always tier, but the brand is what has people finally noticing. All of the smart celebrities have an aesthetic that they follow like a code. And this is something that every business good pay no. Because you could have a great product, but if your brand is awful, you will never stand out and nobody will notice you. Let me know what you guys think of Zara's rebrand.
