This puffer is entirely hand crocheted and I made a huge mistake at first. The outer layer is made from the crochet granny squares, and one thing I failed to realize is that crochet squares have gaps that are not great for insulation and securing the fillings, so I had to get creative. I designed baffles using a different fabric to hold the filling securely and keep the jacket warm. Then I yes rank crochet squares as an outer layer to keep that unique handmade aesthetic.
