Better wonder what's inside a 140 year old black walnut tree? We'll show you. This log was a beast. It weighed 15,000 pounds and was close to maxing out our sawmill, which can cut up to five and a half feet wide. We make sure the blade is sharp and well oiled before every cut. We focus on sourcing dead and dying trees, and we don't get many this size, so every slab is precious. Usually, it takes us a full day to mill a log this size.
