Transcript excerpt

My brother and I quit our 6 figure jobs to build a healthy ice cream business. This is part five of the journey. We grew to 30 stores really best, then we hit a wall. Our ice cream was freezing rock hard and we knew we couldn't grow more until we fixed that. So we went back into the lab. Here's the problem. Making ice cream that stays soft while it's low sugar, low fat, high protein, and clean? Nearly impossible. But we weren't giving up. Four months and over a 100 recipes later, we found a winning recipe. We were on cloud nine. We began developing two new flavors, strawberry swirl and mint cookies and cream. Then we ran into the next wall. We had outgrown our own production facility. We needed a co packer to scale, but in the ice cream industry, there are only a few and most had insane order minimums. Fortunately, we started to look in the summertime and by No, we had found one. So we flew out, toured the facility, and committed to a test run. That run cost us over $15. So, yeah, we were a bit stressed, praying nothing went wrong. Next episode, we'll share what happened. Follow along to see how far we take this ice cream dream.
