DIY hidden screen for wife from @realiferenovation
The creator explains that his wife wants more date nights but they are not in the budget, so he decides to build a hidden projector screen inside a fireplace mantel. He documents the entire DIY process, from drilling into the brick to building the wooden mantel box. To solve technical challenges, he demonstrates using Microsoft's Copilot Vision AI to analyze building codes for safe installation height and to calculate the final weight of the mantel based on a 3D model. After successfully installing the mantel, he surprises his wife with popcorn and reveals the hidden screen, leading to her shocked and happy reaction before they enjoy a movie night together.

Transcript excerpt
My wife has been begging me for more date nights, but it's just not in the budget. So I'm attempting to surprise her with a hidden projector screen inside a fireplace mantle, so we can have free date nights whenever. My crazy idea is to build a secret drawer like this, which seems hard, but I'm partnering with Microsoft to figure it out. No, I don't want my creation to catch on fire, so I'm using CoPilot vision to give me a second pair of eyes to guide me through the residential building code and it processed it quickly and told me exactly where to mount it. What's crazy is I simply shared my screen with CoPilot vision and it's simply through thousands of pages of code to figure that out because it can see and actually understand what you're working on to help you find answers, fix issues, or take the next step without ever having to switch tabs. Now that the mantle is built, it's only gonna be held up by these drawer slides, which started to freak me out no I created a three d model and yes Copilot vision no do this. How heavy would this mantle be if I built it out of white oak? The total weight in white oak would be around 34 pounds. I got it hung up. Now we just got a surprise K
