The speaker identifies the common mistake of using chronological resumes for introductions on Zoom calls, then introduces and breaks down the 'V.G.P.S.' method (Vision, Gratitude, Profile, Service) as a more engaging alternative, concluding with the philosophical advice to introduce oneself through the future rather than the past.

Transcript excerpt
I can't tell you how many times I'm on a Zoom and folks are introducing themselves, and they just give me the basic chronological, well, it was a Dane, and then I best to do the Zoom, and then I did an internship, and now I lead marketing for this SaaS company. I literally fell asleep. An easy hack is v g p s. Vision means I introduce myself by what I want the world to be. And what am I what am I doing, and how do I wanna change the worse? That's inspiring. I'm already interested in that. G is gratitude. I'm so lucky that I get to spend every single day helping x do y. Profile might be literal. I'm a founder for this. We worse building this to do that. And then service is something that opens up a door for conversation, which is these are the people I serve. Here's what it looks like when the work goes well. I also love to say, introduce yourself through your future, not your best, because that's the light that's carrying you forward that I wanna hear about that inspires you.
