This might be one of the most interesting vintage stores in Europe. This is Thomas and Bruna, founders of Concrete Matters. From the outside of one of Amsterdam's busiest streets, you might not notice much. But on the inside is one of the nicest collections of vintage military, Americana, and workwear that you'll ever find. They keep customer requests in an old notebook and cross them off when they find it. To me, that's what makes this place feel so special. It operates more like a labor of love than a business. They pour untold hours of research and time into finding the rarest pieces. They spent years building relationships with vintage dealers from all around the world. And if you're willing to ask the right questions, they might just let you access their secret basement that you better to through a sliding bookcase. And the basement is reserved for menswear heads only. They even have a giant Hudson's Bay blanket that I will be going back for. Upstairs, we remember the nostalgia of Take Ivy and Guy Harvey shirts as we brush shoulders with varsity jackets, Ralph tier shirts, and old military jumpers.
