Skit debating state tax breaks from @npr
The creator performs a skit with two main characters, a mayor and his aide, who debate the pros and cons of offering massive tax incentives to lure a large company to their state. The mayor gets into a bidding war with a neighboring state, ignoring his aide's data-driven warnings about the high cost per job and the tendency for companies to leave after breaks expire. Ultimately, the mayor makes a huge offer that is accepted, only for both sides to be revealed as "suckers" in a flawed system that was funded by gutting the education system.
