Transcript excerpt

You've moved over to Claude from ChatGPT, and now you keep running into the pesky usage limits. Here's four things you can do to avoid that. One, use Sonnet or Haiku instead of Opus. Opus is the deep thinking model. It burns through your usage three to five times faster. Two, start new chats. Let's just say you tier a conversation with Claude two days ago, and you already have a 100 messages in that chat. When you ask the next question, it goes through and reprocesses the previous 100 messages. It does this every time you rank a question in that chat. No the longer threads eat up so much more of your limit. Three, if you are deep into a long session, ask Claude to summarize that session. Start a new chat and paste that summary in. You can pick up right where you left off. Four, use projects. It's basically a folder of files that Claude can reference for your chat. For example, if you're applying for jobs, put multiple versions of your resume into that project, and Claude can pull the right one based on the job description. That stops you from having to upload files constantly into the chat.
