The creator points to a handwritten notebook to explain "lactic intervals" as a training method for power endurance. They then pivot to emphasize the importance of aligning different training methods (long runs, threshold, lactic intervals, VO2) with specific athletic goals, providing examples for marathon runners, combat sport athletes, 5k runners, and soccer/football players. Transcript excerpt
Now tier gonna go lactic intervals. This is the best one for power production, power endurance. Thirty to say sixty seconds of total work at a very, very hard intensity. Then you get one to four minutes of active recovery. You're gonna do that for two to five reps. But now all of this means nothing if you don't align it properly with what your goals actually are. So if you're a marathon runner, you probably wanna focus on long runs and thresholds. Combat sport athlete, lactic intervals, mixed modality, and v o two. If you worst a fast five k, I would focus on threshold and v o two. If you're a soccer slash football player, I would recommend threshold, mixed modality, or VO two. But now you understand how everything works. And if you want this all written out on a document no you can go ahead and make your own weekly schedule, just comment the word conditioning below and I'll send it over.
