This is still an active investigation, and there's a lot that we cannot share at this time. However, I do wanna provide a brief update to our community. Shortly before 4PM today, officers with the Sandy Police Department and deputies with Clackamas County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a domestic disturbance and a shooting in the 39000 Block Of Heavens Street in Sandy. During tier response, officers and deputies came under gunfire and returned returned fire. At this time, I can confirm one of our officers was shot, evacuated from the scene, and transported by Life Flight with multiple gunshot wounds. The officer is in stable condition, and I'm extremely thankful that I can tell you that they are expected to survive. There are multiple victims deceased at this time. The suspect is in custody, just before 8PM. They surrendered to law enforcement, and there was no incident. He surrendered peacefully. There is no ongoing community threat, and everything is safe at this time. I understand everyone wants answers and information right now, but this remains a very dynamic and active investigation.
