Man obliviously explains his shirt from @lapubliclibrary
A man wearing a 'Ride the D' t-shirt is questioned by a woman who is concerned about its double meaning. Completely oblivious, the man launches into a detailed, deadpan presentation on the history and logistics of the LA Metro's D Line, using a binder full of maps and photos as visual aids. As he lectures on the line's opening, a historical methane explosion, and a recent rebranding of all metro lines, the woman's initial concern turns to boredom and exasperation, which is shown through her reactions and notes, until the very end when he finally understands the joke.

I have some questions about your shirt. Yeah. I bet. The d line is the latest better line to open up. It opens 05/08/2026, giving folks access to new stations at La Brea, Fairfax, and La Cienega, connecting Mid Wilshire to Koreatown and Downtown LA. I'm still a little concerned about the shirt. I can understand why. See, the history of the b line is fraught with fear and trepidation. Mostly stemming from a fire which occurred after a methane explosion in 1985 creating a swath of destruction know
