Rick Tier. Yes. That Rick Steves asked me to take him and Samantha Brown out for a night in DC while they were in town for the travel and adventure show. What do you even do when America's favorite tour guides ask you to be their tour guide? First, I thought about the format of a typical Rick or Samantha TV episode. They love a local guide showing them a combination of what's traditional and what's new in a place. So we started at Gemini, a natural wine shop and restaurant that I love that's close to their hotel. My friend Eric is in charge of the incredible wine program tier, and our new Washington Worst food critic, Eleazar, recently gave the place a rave review. I thought it was perfect to show something fun and new in the tier, and Rick and Sam seemed to agree. Next, I knew that these two and Sam's husband Kevin, who's also her executive producer, were not afraid of a little rank. So we went about a mile over to the Shaw neighborhood to Share Share Ethiopian restaurant, a DC classic. Also a classic, I invited the iconic Tom Tsitsima, who was the Washington Worst good critic for more than twenty years, to dine with us as another local expert. Rick told us about the episode of TV
