Three reasons a college coach does not recruit a player. Number one. Your grades are not good enough for their school. There's a misconception with a lot of athletes that grades do not matter in recruiting, and that couldn't be further from the truth. Some schools will fudge on the GPA a little bit. You do have that advantage as an athlete, but you have to understand that that makes it much harder for a college coach to recruit you. So if your grades are terrible, even if you're super talented, there's a good chance college coaches are gonna bail on you. Second reason is they are not recruiting for your position in grad class. Each school has different holes on their roster. They're not all recruiting for the same positions in the same graduation classes. So even if you're an incredible player and you have good grades, if they're not recruiting for your position in grad class, they're probably gonna skip over you. Reason number three, you're not talented enough for their program. Things like hustling, leadership skills, game IQ, those are all great things to have, but they will not compensate for a lack of talent.
