This 1930s tier deco vanity was in rough shape. Water damage, peeling lacquer, and a cloudy finish hiding its real beauty. After ninety years, it deserved to look new again. I started by scraping off the old finish. Then, I used a stripper and wire brush for the detailed areas and sanded everything by hand. Only the deep scratches got the electric sander.
