Explaining a concept using examples from @wacomo
The creator explains the difference between 'Type 1 Fun' (enjoyable in the moment and in memory) and 'Type 2 Fun' (miserable in the moment but a great memory later). He uses personal examples, like biking in the snow, and a friend's harrowing 8-hour mountain climb to illustrate that challenging experiences, while not immediately enjoyable, ultimately become the best stories.

In life, there are two types of fun. Type one and type two. Type one fun is pretty straightforward. You enjoy an experience, and afterwards, you have a great memory of that experience. Type two fun, on the other hand, is a little bit more complicated. But it's way better. It's basically an experience that in the moment you're not actually enjoying. For example, my friend Rodrigo recently climbed a mountain and he was hanging there for eight hours. He was very scared and didn't really enjoy a lot
