Renovation project setback story from @jennaphipps

The creator explains how a $15,000 custom order of terrazzo tiles for their home build, which they had planned for months, arrived with major defects. She shows B-roll of the delivery and then uses visual comparisons and a level to demonstrate how the delivered tiles are the wrong color, warped, and uneven, making them completely unusable and a major financial loss.

Transcript excerpt

We lost $15,000 this past week, and, here's the story. We ordered this beautiful terrazzo tile eight months ago. And since then, I have been raving about it, and I loved it it so much. I got custom stairs made out of it. I got tiles for the hallway. I got tiles for the entrance, the laundry room, the powder room, bathroom downstairs. But anyways, I ordered it, and this terrazzo tile finally arrived. And, when it showed up, it was complete garbage. For one, this is the tile we were supposed to get. This is what we got. I know it looks nothing alike, but that's not even the worst part. When we started looking at the stairs, we noticed they were curved like a banana and all of the tiles were way thicker than they should have been. Not to mention, they also weren't even. And I can go on and on about other things that are wrong with the tier. But the end of the story is they can't be used. They're not to code. It would cost so much more money to try to fix them than what we put into them. And, I think this is our biggest setback to date because I don't think we're getting any money back and, we're basically starting from the beginning again. So stay tuned to see how we're gonna fix this
