Tim Hortons is the best case study in how to ruin a brand. They had what was the easiest business model, selling Canadiana, nostalgia, simple food with old grandmas working behind the counter. You would walk in, they would greet you, they would know your name, they would know your order, and it felt like you were back in your hometown. Now you go in, and it's like you're walking into Domino's. They have pizza. Canadians in general have a low bar for what they want in terms of customer experience
