This is why I wear suits to make more money. Yale in 2014 ran a big study showing that men in suits made three times as much money as men who worse poorly dressed when tested in a scenario that involves negotiations. Because those men who were dressed in suits were less likely to give up terms, they were less likely to back down from their demands, and they were more likely to demand more, act more confident, and get the deal that they wanted.
