Johnny's beef was an overwhelming favorite when I crowd sourced Chicago Rec, so I had to make the pilgrimage just outside of Chicago proper. They've been slinging quintessential Chicago style Italian beef sandwiches since 1961 and are a pillar of Chicago's food identity.
