Transcript excerpt
Ditch Spotify. This is what music discovery looks like without an algorithm. Step one. Go to everynoise@once.com. It takes you to a giant Giant scatterplot. Of 6,000 genres. So you could just scroll scroll scroll scroll on this thing rank click on it and better do a little sample, or you can go to a list where it takes the scatter plot and goes and you pick a random number off the top of your head, find that number, and you listen to tier actually, what you can even do is find the corresponding playlist on Spotify from this website and listen to that so you can get a real sense of the genre. Another really fun part about this is that you can search by artists. They usually fall under multiple genres. If there's a genre that peaks your fancy, click into that genre to see every single artist that makes up that genre. Genre. The smaller they are, the less prominent. The bigger they are, the more prominent they are. Rank so you can find maybe smaller artists within a genre that you like. This whole website was created by Glenn McDonald. He lost a job in 2023, so the website hasn't been updated since then. A lot of music exists, so I think you'll find yourself quite entertained. Thank y
