Block that protein and you might be able to treat the disease. Google's AI Lab DeepMind built a free database called AlphaFold with three d shapes to almost 200,000,000 proteins, almost every one we know about today. So pick a disease you care about, find a protein behind it, and download its shape. Then download a free tool called AutoDoc. It lets you test thousands of chemicals against that protein no see which ones stick to it. Each one gets a score, and a lower score means a better fit. The top ones are your best candidates for drugs. This is the first step of drug discovery, and it worst you nothing. Real drug discovery takes years of lab work after this, of course.
