This is called self-concept clarity tier most of us have never tested how clear ours actually is. So here's a five minute writing exercise that completely shifted how I see myself. Myself. On a blank page, write everything you think you are on the left side. For me, that was mom, wife, daughter, creator, freelancer, and writer. Next, scratch everything off and on the right side, write everything that's left once you remove the labels. I came up with adaptable, deep thinker, creative, compassionate, and adventurous. That list looked nothing like the first one, but actually felt more like me. And here's why.
