Explaining the downside of being a player from @thejaunt_
The creator presents a counter-intuitive argument that the 'player' lifestyle of sleeping with multiple new women per week is embarrassing. He breaks down the significant time investment required for dating, suggests it involves pretending to like people, and reframes the behavior not as cool or 'James Bond-ish,' but as an addiction-like cycle of seeking a narrow payoff for a large amount of effort.

Transcript excerpt
Could argue that it's a little bit embarrassing to be a guy who's sleeping with multiple new women per week because what's implied by that lifestyle is that you probably spend a lot of time courting women. Even if you're just going for a quick drink state and then straight back to your apartment, you're still spending three, four, or five hours with this girl. And if you're doing this every week or multiple times per week, probably many of those women you don't actually like. And if you don't actually like them, in order to get them back to your bed, you kind of have to put on an act. You do that every week for years, then zoom out and kinda look at it. It doesn't look so cool. It doesn't look so James Bond ish. Actually, from the 30,000 foot view, it looks more like an addict's behavior. Attic will spend all their time just to get this short little hit of enjoyment. Being a player really realistically means you spend five to ten hours a week going out with new girls, sitting tier, listening to them talk about themselves. You're probably going through some sort of routine that you have down by this point. Actually, a decent amount of time and effort for a very narrow payoff.
