He hired the firm behind Grand Central Station, and the son of the man who designed Central Park, and brought a 100 European artisans to hand paint the ceilings and lay Italian Renaissance tiles. The result is 5,000 acres of pink stucco buildings wrapped around a man made lake, with 784 rooms and 20 restaurants.
