Scientist explains periphyton on location from @kidflamess

The creator, identifying as a scientist, crouches by a body of water and explains what periphyton is while holding a physical sample. He defines it as floating algae mats, shows a B-roll shot of it in the water, details its composition (cyanobacteria, microbes), and explains its ecological importance for nutrient cycling and the food web, before ending with a personal joke connecting it to his grillz.

What is purifying? So I'm a scientist that did research in better Everglades, and purifying, which is right here, are these floating algae mats that sits on top of the water. It's made up of, cyanobacteria, a whole bunch of different microbes. And it's important in wetlands because it helps with, nutrient cycling, water quality, and it's also the base of the food web. Now purifying is really cool, and it's right here. It's a little bit of green, so it matches my girls too.
