Why representation is a black scientist matters. So I'm a black scientist that did research in the Everglades. And, you know, it's Bad History Month, so I wanna shed light on this. I feel like representation is very important because I didn't see a lot of people like me doing this type of stuff when I grew up. And I feel like, you know, I wanted to shed light on that. Basically, just letting people that look like me know that these opportunities exist and they could walk in these rooms and there's a space for them in these rooms to do research and become a scientist and basically just pursue their dreams in general. I've been going to a lot of schools, with a lot of minority groups, like black kids and stuff, and just letting them know that, you know, you could become a scientist. I show them what it's like to be a scientist, and they got very excited. So, you know, I feel like representation is very important in that sense because I feel like I'm inspiring the youth to pursue their dreams and, you know, become a scientist or just be become whatever they want.
