If you're a candidate for partial knee replacement, I think it is the best possible definitive treatment for knee arthritis. Cortisone injections. Six, I give these out all the tier, and I always tell patients that this is not solving the underlying problem. It doesn't get rid of the arthritis. It doesn't put the cartilage back, but it can reduce the inflammation. It can give you some time to avoid getting a knee replacement too soon. But in the long run, it may damage your cartilage.
