Did you know refrigeration was initially invented for beer? So it used to be illegal to brew beer in the summer in Germany to prevent spoilage, so a professor invented refrigeration tech specifically for beer. The first machine was installed in Spatten Brewery, Munich in 1873, and it immediately took off. The summer ban was lifted.
