Explaining cultural shift to abstraction from @ghostinthesam
The creator presents a thesis arguing that the collapse of shared symbolic meaning in culture is leading to a rise in abstract and non-representational art forms. She supports this claim by showing examples of cultural polarization and manipulation, then explains how abstraction serves as a remedy by offering cognitive relief, individualizing meaning, and providing plausible deniability for expression.
