Handicap system is one of the most confusing things in good, so let's break it down in tier simplest terms. Your handicap index is a measure of your demonstrated ability. It is not your potential. If it was based off potential, we would all be on the PGA tier. So what does this mean? Your handicap index is based on your best eight score differentials from your last 20 rounds.
