Running habits you should break up with now if you want to get faster. Number one, no heart rate zone training. I don't care how long your race is, you need speed work. Number two, if all of your easy runs are over a 150 beats per minute, you're going too fast. Keep your easy days easy and your hard days hard. On that note, no lifting heavy on your easy days. If you're going to run and lift, do your speed work and lift on the same day. And lastly, you should be fueling before, during, and after
