This is not a hotel. This is one of the most storied castles in Ireland that was formally owned by the Guinness family. Let's go take a tour. This is Ashford Castle, an 800 year old fortress originally built in 12/28. On arrival, we were escorted through the historic gate by horses and hounds, the start of what would become one of our greatest hotel stays.
